Mentor Graphics是一家歷史悠久的EDA Tool大廠，早期最為大家所熟悉的是HDL simulation tool [ModelSim]，自從倂購PowerPCB後，即跨入board level design，相繼推出PADS2005、PADS2007、PADS 9.0 PCB tool，近年更積極跨入SI\PI模擬領域，推出HyperLynx，至2013年，除了有原本的SI\PI solution外，新增full-wave 3D EM solver (MOM)與Thermal simulation.

相對於Ansoft design flow，HyperLynx 8.0雖然沒那麼強大，但比較適於初學者上手。其使用限制是：不能同時考慮SI與PI的效應做模擬，也無法以3D的角度考慮BGA內的bonding effect與coupling effect。(沒辦法吃.mcm file)
